Liz Hackenmueller, MHA
Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer
Liz is a highly accountable leader who is passionate about working with organizations, administrators and those closest to the work (ex: teachers, coaches, etc) to systematically remove barriers to make it easier for them to bring best practices to patients, children, athletes.
Liz has a Bachelors in Communication and Masters Degree in Healthcare Administration from the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Business and School of Public Health. She is an experienced, results-driven leader skilled in operations, leadership development, organizational structure, strategic planning, and clinical partnerships. She has led diverse teams and has a proven track record of increasing employee engagement. With her passion for efficiency, Liz has also led several multi-million dollar capital projects from business case development to operational completion, on-time and on-budget, and as a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt has coached lean projects and process improvement initiatives.
Liz has served as Director of Operations for one of the largest mental health and addiction practices in the state of Minnesota. In this role she had significant impact through leading efforts such as increasing access to care for patients, growing the practice by more than 30 percent, and implementing several innovative care model improvements, including navigating the switch to virtual care. Liz is a leader who remains on the cutting edge of practice and had even positioned the mental health team she led for virtual care before the COVID-19 pandemic.
With her advanced leadership skills, Liz aims to give back to the profession of operations and leadership through her passion of mentoring. Liz primarily enjoys helping others learn to solve highly-complex issues and make way for improved patient care. Additionally, Liz has vast experience and insights to share with those she mentors as she has experience in a wide range of healthcare environments and non-profits, including hospital and outpatient settings, service lines, and foster care and adoption.
Athletics has always been a huge part of Liz’s life, as she was a three sport athlete through high school and competed in two sports in college. Her husband Jesse is a teacher and high school coach who is passionate about young athletes gaining valuable life skills through sports. They have two children and two dogs that keep them on their toes.
